Carrie Sun is a cultural practitioner whose forms of expression include the digital moving image and IRL music and sonic experiences. As a technical artist, she works with realtime technologies and novel production methods to toy with ideas of the avatar, the self, and our surroundings. She has worked on projects such as leading the technical art portion of the remastering of Bjork’s Vulnicura VR experience for Apple Vision Pro, technical art direction for the Portland Airport Extraordinary Windows live installation, and technical direction for Lil Miquela’s prolific content output.
Additionally, she has been a real life DJ since 2017, having played events and venues such as Boiler Room, Elsewhere, and Public Records. She is the host of a bi-monthly radio show called Bodywork on NTS Radio.
